Recently Sean has discovered the wonder of splashing in the tub! He loves it! And I think the splashing motion has helped him to figure out how to get the flower on his exersaucer to honk..he seems quite pleased about this!
Well, tomorrow Sean and I are off on our big adventure to Ontario!! I think I'm ready?! There is so much to think about and do and pack and and and... Still, I'm looking forward to seeing as much family and friends as I can in 8 days! I've never flown with an infant before so I'm sure this shall be an exceedingly interesing trip! Please pray for us as we travel.
So for the next week there won't be any new posts but be sure to come back to the blog on the following Sunday, I hope to have some of our pictures from the trip up by then (wishful thinking?)
Sean decided to taste Noah, having seen Abby gnawing on Mrs. Noah.
"Welcome to my office, how may I help you today? I have incredily delicious teething rings, a honking flower and some other wonderful things to chew on."
Doesn't Sean look huge in this picture?
"I love when Aunt Nancy comes to visit! She's so much fun!"....
..."and we're incredibly cute together!!"

Abby is quite the gal as these photos plainly show, if you'd like to learn more about Abby why not drop by her web site. Its listed on the links section as Brian and Bonnie's blog. There you will find many more photos and the musings of her mother.
"I don't know Mom but I think there may be a tooth in here.."
..wherefore the Ark came unto hard times as it ranneth into the Abby. The animals and Noah's family did spew forth onto the ground...

Sean is also making grand discoveries about the world around him. He notices when mom or dad have something in their hand and he would dearly love to have whatever it is, be it a glass of milk, a forkful of supper, whatever. Today while I was puttering about the kitchen I had Sean on my hip and he was quite impressed with the container of large utensils I have on the counter so I passed him the slotted spoon to see what he thought of it. He grabbed hold and immediatley attemped to stuff it in his mouth..he reminded me a bit of a goalie. Hmmmm, from the Toronto Maple Leafs, in goal, number 17....SEAN PERIC!!!....now for Marko it would sound more like this: from the Calgary Flames, in goal, number 42...SEAN PERIC!!hehehehe..
"Look Ma, no hands!!"

I love his hat.
I think he really looks like Marko in this pic.
Could he be any happier?
All that smiling finally tuckered him out.

Some other funny happenings in the Peric household. First off, I was feeding Sean his bottle when Marko asked if I would like anything and I asked him to pour me a glass of juice. We've discovered that if you stick a straw in the glass its much easier to get at while feeding Sean. Well at one point I was sipping out of my straw and Sean was chugging away at his bottle, when he lifts his little arm and whacks my glass, as though to push it away. I thought it was just an accident at first so I tried it again and again that little hand came up and pushed the glass away! It was pretty funny.
Next point to ponder was bath time. Every night as a part of the night time routine we give Sean a bath and this night was no exception. I got Sean down to his birthday suit and gently lowered him into his tub. This tub is great, it has a cushy pad for him to rest on and its in a reclined positon. But tonight for whatever reason Sean was just not interested in lying back to have his bath, no way! He was all about sitting up and taking it like a man! Really! He just would not lie back. It was a really weird sensation for me to wash his hair while he just sat there, and he didn't topple forward either. He had both hands on either side of the tub holding him up. Weird eh?! I love this little fella!

BIB: Buildning Incredible Babies, this is a great program. Mothers bring their little ones to be looked after while they have a session with a speaker. Sometimes its a dietician, sometimes a health nurse. Next time we're headed to the Library! After the main session the mommies join thier babies downstairs and take part in an age appropriate activity. This week we did a fun poem, hand print thing.
It Says: Star Light, Star Bright First Star I See Tonight I Wish I May, I Wish I Might, Have the Wish I Wish Tonight:
I Wish That Sean would have a reason to smile every day. Love, Mommy.
As you can see in this pic of Sean in his exersaucer, you'll notice to the right of him a blue thing, its a buttrfly/flower type toy. Anyways, the other day Sean was in there and had his teething rings (four of them strung together) and he was whipping them about until he managed to lasso the flower. He tugged and he tugged and then whamo right in the face it hit him. He let out a yelp then went right back to sucking on the rings! Too funny!
Sean has always had an amazing head of hair. Right from the get go this child had lotsa hair, which is great only now his hair seems to have, well, it seems to have a life of its own:
Isn't it lovely?!
And finally I end with Sean's favourite game of all time: Peek-a-Boo! I can't get over how much fun he has with this! It was pretty funny this past Friday we were over to see Bonnie and Abby. While we were there we had the babes together on the floor so I thought I'd try out Peek-a-Boo with Abby. What a difference! She would let me throw the blanky over her, she'd have her arms outstretched, smile on her face and then I pull the blanky off and say Peek-a-Boo and she'd still have that happy little smile on her face and her hands outstretched as much as to say, "that was nice, thanks". Sean on the other hand would get wildly excited as the blanky went over him and before I could pull the blanky away he would be thrashing about and when I did get it off and said Peek-a-Boo, he would squeal with delight...again Mommy,AGAIN!
I LOVE this game!!
